Switching Power Adapter

Can I use a mains to USB power adapter to charge any USB device?
I have purchased an e-cigarette which is charged by plugging it into the USB slot in a computer via a cable provided with the product, however this is impractical as my computer is not always switched on. Is the output from my iPod mains charger (mains to USB adapter made by Apple) suitable for all gadgets that are charged via USB, such as the e-cigarette? THANKS!
while it is not recommended by the manufacturers, it is perfectly ok!
If you ask Apple, they might ask you not to do it. But all USB ports are powered at 5V.
The current in the mains charger is definitely more than the computer port so you should be perfectly fine!
